  • La custom manufacturing does not generate inventory.
  • By betting on quality fabrics and easily adjustable styles it is possible to offer sustainable and timeless clothing.
  • La employee participation in the search for eco-responsible solutions is a winner!

Surmesur, an made-to-measure menswear company, distinguishes itself with its business model that requires no inventory. By eliminating the waste associated with mass production, the brand is built around a mission that values sustainability and quality. To ensure this quality, Surmesur carefully selects fabrics to increase the longevity of its garments, and the styles are designed to be easily adjustable.

Among its eco-friendly practices, Surmesur has implemented a carbon-neutral initiative. This program involves planting trees to offset the environmental impact associated with product transportation. Although ecology was not initially part of the company's goals, Surmesur is committed to taking concrete actions to contribute to this movement of social consciousness.

However, the durability of eco-friendly fabrics can vary, sometimes requiring compromises. Surmesur conducts durability and composition tests on fabrics, as the information provided by manufacturers can sometimes be inaccurate. The brand laments the lack of accessibility to traceability and the true composition of certain fabrics and strives to remain transparent in this regard.

Surmesur is also working on reducing packaging. The brand has implemented several measures to eliminate plastic packaging and reduce paper usage in its administrative processes. These initiatives have been inspired by internal employee analyses and the initiation of the B Corp (beneficial corporations).

Furthermore, Surmesur is making progress in eco-responsibility by aiming for smart sourcing. Its strategy aims to reduce its environmental impact in terms of production, transportation, and packaging. The brand takes pride in presenting its garments on certified hangers made from recycled bottles.

Its future goal is to further develop its expertise in eco-responsibility and educate its clientele about the benefits of a sustainable wardrobe. To reduce the environmental impact of overseas transportation, Surmesur is actively seeking local manufacturers to promote domestic production.
